What do you get when you mix pink sequins, homemade waffles, heart-shaped sunglasses, and a table dripping in disco balls?
You get Disco Cupid — and let me tell you, it was everything I dreamed it would be.
After weeks of planning, crafting, and playlist-curating, my February edition of Alexandra’s Table came to life in the most magical way. Today, I'm taking you behind the scenes of the unforgettable day we shared, filled with glitter, laughter, and some of the best brunch food I’ve ever made.
If you followed the journey on my Instagram or TikTok, you already caught glimpses of the sparkle. But here, I’m sharing the full story — the decor, the menu, the little moments that made it so special — and how you can bring this magic to your own table too. ✨
The Final Setup: Disco Dreams Come True
Stepping into the space felt like stepping inside a glittering love letter.
The tablescape was layered in shades of pink, satin, and mirrored disco ball reflections.
Soft cotton napkins, a heart-covered table runner, and playful floral arrangements in vintage glass bottles (yes — olive oil bottles repurposed!) brought a whimsical yet elegant vibe.
Disco balls floated from the ceiling on invisible strings. Vintage pink glassware caught the candlelight. Everywhere you looked, there was a mix of glitz, glam, and genuine warmth.
Guests were greeted with a pink cocktail in hand, a personalized menu at their place setting, and a soundtrack of ABBA, Donna Summer, and a few cheeky modern pop hits. It wasn’t just a brunch — it was an experience.

The Menu: A Valentine to Comfort Food
When it comes to hosting, I believe the food should feel both comforting and a little bit luxurious. Here’s what was on the menu for our Disco Cupid feast:

Crispy potato crust filled with caramelized onions, Gruyère, and Cheddar, crowned with fresh arugula.
🍗 Pink Waffle & Fried Chicken Sliders
Fluffy pink buttermilk sourdough waffles sandwiched with crispy buttermilk fried chicken, tangy apple slaw, and a drizzle of hot honey.
🍊 Zesty Fennel & Grapefruit Salad
Light and refreshing with fennel, cucumber, avocado, grapefruit, burrata, and toasted pistachios.
🍞 The Sourdough Bread Bar
Featuring my homemade Chocolate Coffee Sourdough Loaf and Twisted Sourdough Baguettes, paired with jams, butters, and honeys.
🍩 Cinnamon Roll Sourdough Focaccia
A cinnamon-swirled, pink-glazed masterpiece that’s half brunch, half dessert.
🍫 Bourbon & Coffee Fudge Brownies
Rich, gooey, and dangerously addictive, with a touch of espresso and bourbon for a grown-up finish.
🍓 Seasonal Fruit Platter
A bright, juicy burst of color to balance the indulgence.

The Vibe: Friendship, Laughter, and a Little Bit of Magic
But beyond the glittering decor and decadent bites, what made this brunch unforgettable was the feeling.
There’s something sacred about gathering friends around a table you’ve poured love into. About making people feel seen, celebrated, and a little bit spoiled.
We played games like Will You Be Mine? (anonymous love letters to each other) and Never Have I Ever: Cupid's Edition, laughed until our sides hurt, and twirled around to ABBA songs under the disco lights. You can find the details and instructions for those in my Digital Magazine of course!
Somewhere between pouring the second round of drinks and sharing slices of cinnamon roll focaccia, I looked around and thought — this is why I host.
